brow shaping lift injections melbourne

We can use anti-wrinkle injection not only to lift the brow but also to change their shape. The example above is a Cityskin patient in her 20s who wanted to soften forehead and frown lines but give the brows a more arched shape.

How to create an arched brow with anti-wrinkle injections

The ideal ideal in men and women differs greatly. Men generally have a flatter, lower brow whereas womens brows are higher with an arch 2/3 of the way along the brow. We have to be very mindful of brow height when treating foreheads as we don’t want to flatten the brow and masculinise the face.

To shape the brow we use 1 or 2 units under the outer part of the eyebrow. This area is known as the ‘infrabrow’. We also place anti-wrinkle injections in the frown area (the area between the brow) to lift the eyebrows.

How many units will I need to to create an arched /lifted brow?

We recommend using 12-20 units in the frown and 1 – 2 units under the outer part of the brow to create a nice arch. A unit is a pre-measured amount of anti-wrinkle product. Have a read of our guide to anti-wrinkle units.

How much will my brow lift/shaping treatment cost?

As a very rough guide we would use, in total, between 16 and 24 units to the frown and outer eyebrow to achieve the arching effect. The amount of units needed varies depending on the strength of the muscles and how much lift is needed.

Are anti-wrinkle injections painful?

Anti-wrinkle injections feel like a small sting. We often use ice to numb the skin prior to injections. The treatment is generally less painful than patients expect.
