What do I have to avoid after anti-wrinkle treatments?
The only thing that we recommend after anti-wrinkle injections is not to rub the area too much for a couple of hours after injection. We don’t want to spread the product inadvertently to areas where we don’t want it to go. Your anti-wrinkle injections are placed with precision in carefully selected areas so don’t rub it. We wouldn’t recommend having a facial on the day of having injections for the same reason.
Common anti-wrinkle myths
There are a lot of myths surrounding anti-wrinkle injections without much good evidence to support in. During our years of performing injections at Cityskin, these are the most common questions we get asked about anti-wrinkle injection aftercare:
Can I do exercise after anti-wrinkle injections?
Yes. In all the time we have performed cosmetic injections, we have never seen any problems with people exercising after injections.
Can I drink alcohol after anti-wrinkle injections?
Yes, you can drink alcohol on the evening of injections.
Can I lie down after anti-wrinkle injections?
Yes, you can. There is no evidence to say that you can’t lie down or sleep after treatment so go ahead!
What does it look like on the day of anti-wrinkle treatment?
On the day of treatment, after anti-wrinkle treatment, there is slight redness around the injection points, but this settles after about 30 mins. When we treat the crow’s feet area you may notice tiny, raised bumps for about 30 mins. This is where we have injected superficially under the skin in the crow’s feet area to reduce bruising. These little bumps are due to the small amount of fluids that we have injected and this will settle down within 30 minutes.
