Do you offer Afterpay for cosmetic injectable treatments?

by

New guidelines by the Medical Board of Australia came into effect on 1st October 2016 which govern how we conduct work as cosmetic practitioners.

When it comes to paying for cosmetic procedures (including ‘minor’ cosmetic procedures such as anti-wrinkle, dermal filler or double chin treatment) the Medical Board states:

“Yes, a medical practitioner can offer a patient payment options.
A medical practitioner should not offer financing schemes to patients (other than credit card facilities), either directly or through a third party, such as loans or commercial payment plans, as part of the cosmetic medical or surgical services.
This does not restrict a medical practitioner from accepting payment from a patient in instalments.”

So, in summary, we are not allowed to use commercial payment plans such as Afterpay or ZipPay to take payment for cosmetic procedures at Cityskin.
