Answer

When we treat patients with dermal filler we want to minimise the risk of the treatment as much as possible.
When I worked with lasers there was a varying length of downtime between each laser – Fraxel on a high setting (for facial rejuvenation) had a longer recovery time than Medlite on a low setting (for removing sun spots). The same can be said for a chemical peel – a Jessner’s peel had a downtime of a few days whereas a light salicylic peel had a shorter recovery period.
I think the sensible way to approach dermal fillers after a chemical peel or laser is to treat you when the skin has recovered fully and not treating your before this time. This may mean waiting between 2 and 10 days depending on the laser or peel that you had.
