Answer

Personally, I always allow 2 weeks for swelling to go down after dermal filler. This time allows the filler to integrate into the tissue, and white cells to heal the area from the trauma of the needle/ cannula. I have seen some cases where people can feel very puffy for 1 month after treatment, if they suffer with sinus problems.

If persistant swelling that that lasts longer than this occurs, please contact the treating medical practitioner. The lymphatic system runs right under where the tear trough is located and has the potential to cause swelling, due to lack of lymphatic drainage – especially when the crowd feet are also injected with anti-wrinkle injections at the same time.
