Answer

I do not advise to have any facials, massages, or lasers/ waxing to the face for 2 weeks after anti-wrinkle injections and dermal fillers. This is because the product is still settling and activating for 2 weeks after injection and we do not want to disrupt and potentially move the product.

Bare in in mind that anti-wrinkle injections take 1-5 days to start working, and keep activating for 2 weeks after injection. If the face is massaged, it could potentially move the product from where it was injected and potentially cause an adverse event. On the other hand, dermal fillers cause swelling with potential bruising after injection. It it best to let the filler settle and allow all bruising and swelling to heal, before applying pressure to the face with massage. 2 weeks is advised because there could be underlying bruising that hasn’t come to the surface of the skin.

After 2 weeks, or after all bruising and swelling has subsided, you may proceed to have facial massages and treatments, as per normal. If you have facials before injectables, please allow any redness/ peeling to completely heal prior to having injectables.
