At this stage, there is no set date if the long-lasting anti-wrinkle injections are coming to Australia. Firstly, the drugs will have to be approved for use in Australia by the governing body.
Here are a couple of points to take into consideration with longer lasting anti-wrinkle injections:
1. I’m assuming the cost of the new long lasting anti-wrinkle product would be about double of what you’re currently paying, if the drug lasts double the length of time. Not a lot of people might be able to afford this in one go.
2. In the rare event you may have an adverse event from anti-wrinkle injections, such as eyelid ptosis (eyelid droop), or if you aren’t happy with the result, you could potentially have to ‘put up’ with the undesired result for a longer period of time.
