What is Skin Rejuvenation and How Does It Work?
Skin rejuvenation is a non-surgical solution that addresses skin laxity and the visible signs of ageing. We understand that if you have these concerns, you want to know the specifics of how this treatment works, so we encourage you to schedule a consultation with a Cityskin clinician.
Areas Treated with Skin Rejuvenation?
If you have skin concerns about areas such as the face, neck, décolletage, hands and knees, skin rejuvenation could be a solution. Our skilled treatment specialists are trained in providing comprehensive and informative consultations to address ageing in these areas.
Facial Skin Rejuvenation
This treatment specifically provides a solution to concerns about the signs of ageing on the face. If you have these concerns, book a consultation at Cityskin to learn about how this treatment is specifically designed to address the face.

Skin Rejuvenation for the Neck
As a result of the natural ageing process, the neck loses elasticity and can develop textural irregularities. Skin rejuvenation for the neck can provide a solution to concerns such as these, so we encourage you to book a consultation to learn more specific information about the treatment.

What Makes Skin Rejuvenation Different from Volume Enhancement Treatments?
Skin rejuvenation is different from volume enhancement treatments. They each address skin and facial concerns, though they work in different ways. During a free consultation at Cityskin, a treatment clinician can freely discuss the differences between the two treatments and your treatment options to address any facial concerns.
Treatment Plan and Maintenance
To learn more about specific treatment approaches and to get tailored advice, book a consultation with an experienced member of our treatment team. During this consultation, we can provide you with advice about treatment plans and maintenance.
Achieve a Natural and Radiant Look
Skin rejuvenation may be able to provide a solution to concerns about:
- Skin luminosity.
- Skin laxity concerns.
- Appearance of fine lines and wrinkles.
- Hollow or sunken areas.
- Other signs of ageing.
- Skin texture.
Suitability
For specific advice about who is suitable for skin rejuvenation, book a consultation at Cityskin. If you have noticed signs of skin laxity, experienced volume loss in your face, neck, or décolletage, a skin rejuvenation consultation can provide you with the information you need to make a decision.
Recommended Moisturiser After Skin Rejuvenation
Following skin rejuvenation, it is essential to provide proper skincare. While we do not sell specific products, a moisturiser like Profhilo Haenkenium® cream is often recommended due to its beneficial properties. This antioxidant-rich cream combines a patented Salvia Haenkei dry extract with Hyaluronic Acid. It promotes skin tone, elasticity, and firmness, reduces micro-wrinkles, and protects against premature ageing caused by oxidative stress. Incorporating an antioxidant-rich moisturiser into your skincare routine can significantly enhance cellular skin vitality and overall skin health.
Note: Profhilo Haenkenium® cream is available through Cityskin locations.

Skin Rejuvenation vs. Mesotherapy
Skin rejuvenation and mesotherapy are distinct approaches to addressing skin concerns. During a free consultation at Cityskin, a treatment clinician can freely discuss the differences between the two treatments and your treatment options to address any facial concerns
The Skin Rejuvenation Procedure
An experienced member of our treatment team can freely discuss the skin rejuvenation procedure with you at a consultation in our clinic. These consultations are free to new patients, and are designed to give you comprehensive information so that you can make the best decision for you.
Before treatment
For all Cityskin new clients, an initial consultation is necessary where we will clinically assess your medical history. We will also give a full explanation of the procedure, the aesthetic and clinical benefits of skin rejuvenation, risks, aftercare, and consent process to help you to make an informed decision.
During treatment
During your treatment, your Cityskin clinician will use skin rejuvenation techniques to address your skin concerns in a safe and effective way.
What Happens After Skin Rejuvenation?
Skin rejuvenation is a non-invasive, “walk-in, walk-out” cosmetic procedure. Downtime following this treatment is minimal, and most people can return to work and resume daily activities afterwards. On the first day after this treatment, it is recommended that you avoid sports or physical exertion. Avoiding intense sunlight or UV exposure for the first few days after treatment is also essential.

Specialised Treatments
Dr Afifa Ashraf is an Aesthetic Doctor with a background in emergency and acute medicine – a foundation that shaped her instinct for patient safety and precision, which she carries into every treatment she performs.
She completed her medical training in the UK, where her aesthetic career also began. She trained at the Harley Academy in London and undertook advanced training under a London-based plastic surgeon through Interface Aesthetics. Before moving to Melbourne, she gained hands-on experience working within a dermatology clinic alongside running her own private practice. She continues to invest in her development, regularly attending conferences and workshops across both aesthetic and longevity medicine.
What drives Dr Afifa’s practice is a genuine commitment to doing right by her patients. Consultations are unhurried and education-led as she wants people to leave feeling informed and confident in their choices, not pressured into them.
Her approach to aesthetics is rooted in subtlety. She works with each person’s natural features, with the aim of enhancing rather than changing – so results feel like the best version of you, not someone else entirely.

Cindy brings over nine years of clinical nursing experience to her work in aesthetic medicine, combining a strong medical foundation with a genuine passion for helping people feel their best.
Her career began in hospital settings, where she built expertise across cardiology, respiratory and oncology. In 2021, she expanded her scope with a Postgraduate Diploma in Cosmetic Injectables and Dermal Therapies — a natural progression of her commitment to patient care and clinical excellence.
Cindy’s favourite treatments are bio-stimulators and fine line rejuvenation, where her focus on subtle, natural-looking results truly shines. She believes great aesthetic medicine starts long before the treatment itself — with a thorough consultation that takes the time to understand each person’s unique concerns, lifestyle and long-term goals.
Outside the clinic, Cindy loves exploring Melbourne’s food scene with friends and family, and spending time on long walks with her dog, Maisy.
